My latest project is porting Butcher (the admin cli for the isobeef server http://isobeef.org) from python to mono. Users authenticate themself with their system credentials. "Why authenticate when you are logged in via ssh already", you may ask. Because the current implementation uses a XMLRPC Server to make some common functions available to non-root users (like reload apache config files and creating databases) and I couldn't find any super secret way to use the existing ssh login.
